You as part of tonies:

We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst  to expand our product portfolio team, with a particular focus on Tonies, Accessories and Digital Content. Working closely with the Head of UK Portfolio and your international counterparts, as well as Global teams across Product, Content and Licensing, you will help shape the future of the product roadmap for tonies. You will be joining an amazing team in a high-performing, fast growing business. The role is available as of now and you’ll be reporting into our Head of Portfolio UK/IE.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Portfolio Optimization & product lifecycle: You identify growth opportunities within the existing portfolio through data analysis and implement initiatives to improve performance and profitability.

  • Market Analysis and Competitor Monitoring: You will conduct market research, including competitor analysis, customer feedback, and industry trends to generate insights that drive the continuous development of the existing and future portfolio.

  • Product readiness & GTM: you oversee key milestones in the portfolio launch plans, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure each product is ready to launch on time

  • Be the source of all knowledge for our UK Product Portfolio: share key information with the teams and act as the product ambassador to the rest of the UK team. You maintain portfolio & product overviews and ensure key product information is available to all teams and you use project management tools to track progress, resolve bottlenecks, and communicate updates.

  • Liaison with Global Teams: You act as a liaison to central product, content, and licensing teams, ensuring that global requirements are effectively adapted to the local market.

  • Close Collaboration with UK teams: You work cross-functionally with the marketing, sales, and finance & ops teams in the UK to support Go-To-Market & ensure timely product launches. You ensure key milestones such as forecasting, product marketing initiatives and range plans support portfolio growth & optimization.

  • Development and Implementation of Portfolio Strategy: You will support the alignment of the local product portfolio for the UK with global corporate strategies and goals, considering local market trends and customer needs.

What we are looking for:
  • Professional experience

    • You have experience in product portfolio management. Experience in the toy or kids’ entertainment field is a plus but not essential

    • You have experience dealing with senior stakeholders and you must have experience of cross-market & cross-functional projects

    • Ideally you have some experience in portfolio or range management, product lifecycle planning, and SKU performance tracking

  • Key skills & competencies

    • Data insights & analysis:

      • You are excited by data and can read numbers in an analytical way that helps you and your team to make decisions

      • Proficient in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or similar

      • Comfortable analyzing sales data, consumer trends, and qualitative feedback

      • Experience using a range of data sources covering external e.g., Nielsen, Circana, Google Trends and internal e.g. surveys, reviews

      • Able to make data-backed recommendations for new product or content development

    • Product Portfolio Management

      • Skilled in maintaining product databases, managing SKUs, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting cross-departmental requests

      • Able to support line planning, end-of-life, and range reviews

      • You are familiar with project management tools such as Asana, GSuite, Confluence

    • Communication & Collaboration

      • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.

      • Comfortable working with creative teams, licensors, and retailers

  • Education

    • Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field

  • Personal Traits
    • Naturally curious and passionate about kids’ content and innovation

    • Detail-oriented but able to see the bigger picture

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company with evolving priorities

    • You are able to think creatively, and you are excited to play a big part in the development of a brand new product category

    • You’re collaborative, flexible and willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ - working as part of a small team excites you!

    • You’re positive, solutions focussed, and self-motivated
